It is amazing what journeys Sergei Rachmaninoff made in his life, considering that at that time everything had to be done by train, carriage or ship. And at the same time composing,
marrying and founding a family - all respect! In this respect, Sergei Rachmaninoff was a "universal" talent who obviously knew how to reconcile his artistic, family and business worlds.
Finally, he moved with his family to the United States in 1918, which again meant a great strain. I have taken the travels and stays listed here from the books I have mentioned,
but I can make no claim to completeness.
